Ventilated Wall System

Construction · Pillar 02

A wall that breathes. So it lasts.

No. 01

Why ventilate?

Sealed timber walls trap moisture. Over a decade in the British climate that means cladding rot, fixings that bleed rust, and an internal envelope that slowly loses its insulation value. A ventilated rainscreen is the answer the construction industry has used on commercial buildings for thirty years.

No. 02

How it works

A continuous 25 mm cavity sits between the cladding and the breather membrane. Air enters at the base of the wall and exits at the eaves. Any water that gets past the cladding simply drains down the cavity and out — never reaching the structure behind.

No. 03

What this means for you

The cladding sits dry on every side, the membrane stays clean, and the insulated envelope behind it is never tested. The system runs silently for the life of the building with zero maintenance.
