The Brief

Two rooms,
one quiet building.

A two-volume garden pavilion uniting an entertainment lounge and a private working studio under one architectural roofline — separated by a recessed corner threshold and bound together by warm thermowood and slimline aluminium glazing.

The clients asked for a relaxed, cinematic entertaining space — pool, bar, vinyl, late suppers — alongside a separate, calm, daylit room for focused work from home. The architectural answer was a single linear roof shielding two distinct interiors, joined by a recessed corner of decking that quietly marks the threshold between leisure and labour.

Vertical thermowood cladding is laid in three subtly varied widths to animate the surface in late-afternoon light. A slim black aluminium fascia conceals integrated up-lighters, soffit speakers and the EPDM roof.

Inside

Why The Pavilion

Designed to last.
Detailed to perform.

Every Arden & Oak space carries the same four commitments. The Pavilion is no exception — it is simply a larger expression of them.
