Creative studio — A place to think, make, and finish.
Creative studio

A place to think, make, and finish.

Art, design, writing, ceramics, photography, music production, fashion — every craft needs a room with no other agenda. A creative studio at the bottom of the garden gives your work the time and space it actually deserves.

Why creative studio

A creative studio earns its place.

These are the reasons our clients give us, in their own words, six months after moving in. Read them as honest arguments — not marketing.

No. 01

Leave the mess where the work is

Half-finished canvases, drying clay, a lit candle on the cutting table — you don't have to clear it down before dinner. Walk out, close the door, the project keeps its space.

No. 02

North-light or south-light, your call

We orient the glazing to suit your craft. Painters get cool, even north light; photographers get controlled south-west. We'll talk you through it before the build.

No. 03

Power where you need it

Kiln, laser cutter, sewing machines, photography lights, audio interfaces — extra 32A circuits, dedicated 13A rings and Cat-6 data are all on the spec sheet.

No. 04

Ventilated for the work

Ceramics dust, oil-paint fumes, soldering fluxes — we can spec MVHR (mechanical ventilation with heat recovery) so the air stays clean without throwing heat out the window.

No. 05

Acoustically isolated

If you record, edit or simply hate being interrupted, our acoustic upgrade gives you a near-soundproof shell — clients and family hear nothing from inside.

No. 06

Better than a studio rental

Studio hire in Bristol or Bath runs £400-£700 a month and ends the moment the landlord raises rent. Yours stays yours.

A natural starting point

Most clients begin with The Forge.

Recommended footprint: 3.0 × 3.5 m onwards. Every spec from this point onwards — insulation, glazing, electrics, finishes — is bespoke to how you'll actually use the room.

“Whatever you make, make it from a room that takes the craft as seriously as you do.”

In their words

The room, six months on.

“I can leave a canvas half-finished and walk away. That used to be impossible.”
Eleanor · Dartmouth
“Best studio I've ever had — and I've rented in three cities.”
Mike · Plymouth
“Saved me about £6k a year in studio rental, frankly.”
Priya · Bath
